StarShip Link to Sage MAS 90 • Sage MAS 200

A Better Way to Ship!

Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 contains a host of powerful shipping capabilities for customers in the distribution industry who wish to separate shipping functions from accounting and invoicing functions. The shipping enhancements provide individual package content tracking and detailed package tracking history. At the heart of the new shipping capabilities is a bi-directional link with StarShip, the industry-leading shipping software that supports each of the major shipping carriers. The StarShip link will additionally compare prices from major carriers to find the best possible rate, and supports third-party parcel insurance coverage, creating significant savings.

StarShip for Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 provides a unique, real-time interface that not only reduces the number of steps required to process orders, but also provides easy access to complete shipment history.

StarShip's shipping window runs from within the Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 Shipping Data Entry function in the Sales Order module. After processing the order in Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200, the shipper simply clicks the StarShip link button to weigh the boxes.

StarShip fields are populated with:
   • Customer name
   • Contact information
   • Ship-to address
   • Sales order number
   • Carrier, service and package options
   • Declared value from order total
   • Number of packages
   • COD information
   • Billing method

StarShip automatically calculates the freight charges, assigns tracking numbers, prints the labels, and sends the freight and tracking information back to the order.

StarShip returns:
carrier specific tracking numbers and any related package comments, package weight, freight charges, and shipping dates. StarShip populates these fields in the Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 Summary Package Tracking Maintenance window. The Package Tracking button allows the user to view the status of the package through an Internet package tracking service.
